Bob Gibson Tjungurrayi, the son of renowned artist Mary Gibson, was born in Papunya. He relocated to Tjukurla with his family in the late 1980s during the homelands movement.
In a vivid and innovative exploration of colour and shape, his distinctive and striking work embodies his country. He takes pleasure in relating tales from his mother's native Kulkurta country and his father's native Patjarr country.
